This is not breaking news for some of our regular faces down The Dodo but yes, it’s the end of an era gang!
Michael, the king of one-liners, upselling and unattended phone selfies is moving on to focus on his other business - dog walking. There’s one industry that has certainly thrived in the pandemic! He’ll also be enjoying no longer having to commute from Buckinghamshire to Hanwell! That’s quite some dedication to the Hanwell Massive!
It’s obviously sad times indeed as Michael has been an integral part of The Dodo Micropub’s success since joining us in May 2018! That’s almost 4 years!! Very unusual pattern in hospitality and I’m truly grateful to have called him my right hand man. We have walked through SOME FIRES together as a team and honestly the past 2 years would have been a hell of a lot harder to survive without him.
The final goodbye isn’t until the end of February so there’s lots of time to plan his leaving do(s) and get your dad joke needs fulfilled before he’s off. And yes it will be sad. We’ve already had some (okay quite a few) tears but I’m so proud his family business is thriving financially for him and know this end of an era will open up new doors for both of us.
So, if you’d like to join Team Dodo Micropub as our new Assistant Manager (part time) please read on for all the details of the role and how to apply. Your start date won’t be until Tuesday 1 March but we’ll be doing a handover and training period throughout February.
